Tarot Consultations - About Me

My name is Briah Jardin. As of this writing, I am 74, and I want to share with you how I came to understand Tarot as a Healing Art.

I was forty when I discovered a rapidly growing tumor on a rib under my left arm. A week later, I met a Qabalist Master who taught me how to read the cards. At first, I read only for myself. Day after day, I performed the remedial assignment my teacher had given. to my surprise, three of the four cards I drew were consistently the same. Each one graphically reflecting an aspect of my peril. Terrified, I was tempted to give up. But not so fast!

Fascination matched my terror. Using the Thoth Deck, which is heavily laden with astrological symbols, my Qabalist teacher demonstrated the Astrological Layout. Until then, I was an astrologer. Please bear in mind, math was not my strong suit, this occurred prior to the instant availability of computer-generated charts. With death knocking at my door, I couldn't resist the opportunity to try my astrological chops sans the time-consuming process of checks and balances I'd established to ensure the accuracy of my calculations. Also, I was highly motivated to ferret out, and choose for myself, the highest and best interpretation of the most formidable cards in the pack.
Thirty-plus years later, I am still using the Thoth Deck and the same layout.

During consultations, I like to include some insights about your Life Path/Significator Card, which is determined by the date of your birth. Mine is The Hermit. You can click on the image below to see what it means.
